Elio Petri is the work of three filmakers searching for the truth about Italy’s most inconvenient and forgotten Italian director. Patiently exploring, as real detectives, the memories of former times through comments, interviews, scripts and footage, The three authors discover an artist, an individual, a poet, and an idealist who was celebrated with dignity only by the Venice Film Festival in 1983, just after his death.
